Getting Started
1. Install Unity Web Player
Download and install* the Unity Web Player from the Unity Technologies website: http://unity3d.com/webplayer/.
* You must have administrator rights to install the Unity Web Player on Mac OS X.
Recommended For: Trial users, students using the application from home, or classrooms where students have sufficient rights to perform the installation themselves.
Description: This is the quickest and easiest way to install the Unity Web Player, but requires that the user have sufficient permissions to download an installer (this is an executable file that is often blocked on school computers) and also have permission to install software into their application data area. Please see your system administrator if you are not sure about permissions (for you or your students).
Instructions:
- Download the Unity Web Player from our website: UnityWebPlayer.exe
- Save the file to your computer in a convenient location, such as your Desktop.
- Run the downloaded program to start the installer.
- If your computer asks for permission to make changes, click Yes.
- Verify installation
- select http://files.unity3d.com/webplayer_test/version/.
- verify that you have versions installed for the Plugin and Unity 3.x. It is not necessary to have a version for Unity 2.x.
- You may need to restart your web browser before logging on to Whitebox Applications.
Permanent Install for All Users
Recommended For: Classrooms where multiple students will be logging into the same computer throughout the day, and/or more restricted environments where the user does not have the necessary permissions to perform the installation themselves.
Description: The Unity Web Player will be installed for all users logging into the computer. You must have administrative rights to complete the All Users installation.

Download the Unity Web Player from Unity Technologies. Selecting the link below will automatically
start the download process. Save the downloaded file to your Desktop, or an easy to find location.
Do not RUN the application, SAVE it.

Internet Explorer users, please note that you may be prompted to choose a location to download the file to. Choose Downloads:
- Close all web browsers
- Open a command prompt:

Open Start Menu by clicking the Windows Start Button at the bottom left of your screen.

Type "cmd" in the Search text box and press Enter.

Open Start Menu by clicking the Windows Start Button at the bottom left of your screen.
- In the command prompt, type the following:
cd DownloadsUnityWebPlayerFull.exe /AllUsers
or for a "silent" installation, type:cd DownloadsUnityWebPlayerFull.exe /S /AllUsers
- Verify installation
- select http://files.unity3d.com/webplayer_test/version/.
- verify that you have versions installed for the Plugin and Unity 3.x. It is not necessary to have a version for Unity 2.x.
- You may need to restart your web browser before logging on to Whitebox Applications.

- Close all web browsers

2. View Teacher Control Center Video
The Teacher Control Center (TCC) allows you to manage and monitor your applications. You must use the TCC to set up your classes and applications and access your student IDs. Click HERE to go to the TCC Product page, then click on Product Demo to launch the video.
System Requirements
- Operating System: Windows XP/Vista/7 -or- Mac OS X 10.3.9 or newer
- Web Browser: Internet Explorer 7 (or later) - or - Mozilla Firefox 2 (or later) - or - Google Chrome
- Recommended Screen Resolution:At Least 1024 x 768 pixels (bigger the better)
- Hardware: We do not have specific requirements for RAM, CPU or graphics cards. We strive to optimize our applications so that they will run on low and high end machines. Please contact us if 3D graphics performance is a problem.
Security Matters
If you are using the Internet Explorer web browser, we recommend that you add www.whiteboxlearning.com to your Trusted Sites.
Adding WhiteBox To Your Trusted Sites (IE only)
- In Internet Explorer, select Tools.
- Select Internet Options.
- Select the Security tab.
- Select the Trusted Sites zone.
- Select the Sites button and add www.whiteboxlearning.com.
