Affordably and easily explore wind energy with the Advanced Wind Energy Kit. Students gain an understanding of wind power and discover advanced concepts of wind turbine technology as they test a variety of blade designs, generate electricity (0.5–20 V range), lift weights and pump water. All you need is a wind source, basic tools and imagination! Enhance the experience with the WhiteBox Learning standards-based, cloud-based KidWind 2.0 STEM Software Application (available separately). This software lets students “connect the virtual to the physical” by engineering, analyzing and simulating their designs virtually then printing templates to scale and building physical models. 24" H, 36" maximum blade diameter, 18" base diameter. Maximum of 12 blades. Expected power output: 0–2 watts. Three different gear ratios. 5-year limited warranty (excludes consumables). Sold individually or as a classpack for 24 students.
